In order to provide a faster online game of Pilotta we have created Express Games. Express games are like regular Pilotta games except that they end at lower points, usually 101.
To eliminate one element of luck Declarations (20, 50, 100, 150 or 200 Points) DO NOT count. Pilotta combination (20 points, King and Queen of trumps) DOES count. So the maximum points in a round is 182 or 270 in the case of Kapot.
Play Tips:
- Be careful when you bid, always remember that declarations do not count.
- If you have a good hand you can open high (100 or 110), your opponents will most likely not be able to open with their cards above that.
- Keep in mind that your partner may not open double for 9 J or may not go higher for Aces if the bids are already high. However, try to keep the same bidding strategy as for regular games so that your partner can understand your cards as much as possible.
- At high bids, eg 130 or 140 opponents are very likely to Double the game, especially if they have Q or K trumps which means no Pilotta points and without declarations they know that they definitely win the round with 23 or 33 points.
